The Lobby
Full-length play · The Green Room Project 2026
Synopsis
The lobby of an ageing mixed-use apartment building.
Jina writes romance novels at a café table. Missie J keeps track of things nobody asked her to keep track of. Min is convinced his cufflinks are the reason anything goes well. The detective who lives upstairs is three months into the job and refuses to draw conclusions without evidence.
When the manager of the Italian restaurant is found dead, everyone immediately has an opinion. Rumours travel between floors faster than the elevator. As the residents compare what they have seen and heard, familiar neighbours begin to look increasingly unfamiliar.
Everyone in the building is paying attention. Everyone arrives at a different conclusion.
The facts are not in dispute.
The truth is another matter.
